Chuckle Monkey card :)

This was one of my first ever Chuckle Monkey cards. It took a while as all the images were handrawn (they are now available as stamps from Spiral Whisper, see posts below) They were then coloured using Derwent watercolour pencils and watercolour paints :)

With my OH getting back from working away at last and having a good nights sleep,oh and I sooooo needed it. I will be able to buckle down and make some more Chuckles n Giggles cards this evening. Including images you HAVEN'T SEEN YET, wink, wink, nudge,nudge. Off to supervise the watering of the chillies, tomatoes, cucumbers and some other strange things growing in the corner of the greenhouse now (cheesy grin) Not going any where near it until I can be sure that hugggggggggggge dinner plate sized spider has gone, filthy dirty crawling manky creature thing that it is. Urggggggggggggh.

Hola everyone,

Yes I think I am going insane. Most probably through the lack of sleep. I am soooooo tired but I can't sleep. Totally drained as my OH is working away again and Pickles and Her Royal Highness have been running rings around me for days, scowl. I can't wait for my OH to get back tomorrow then it's nappies all weekend for him I'm afraid, oh and watering the greenhouse because I won't go in there because there is a huggggggge spider in there the size of a dinner plate. OK, OK I may be exaggerating there a little. But it's ruddy big and it scares me so I'm going no where near it. Oh and he has to help finish the workshop and mow the lawns (I usually love doing this but the hayfever is really bad at moment, achoo, see I told you, cheesy grin) I am sure I will also think of more things to add to that list b4 his return tomorrow. Oh I am wicked I know but I don't care, ha ha ha ha! I am going to try and have a rest.

Completely off subject but I am sooooooooooooooo excited off to pick my dressmaking dummy form and knitting machine up tomorrow and I am going to my first ever crop for a WHOLE day. Wow an entire day of crafting without being mithered or moaned at, pure bliss. Going to attempt my first ever scrapbook page. I've been collecting the stuff for years I get it out occasionally to stroke and then put it back again. It's too pretty to use LOL

Had a couple of glasses of rose at the weekend to try and get myself into the Christmas spirit. It partially worked. A good excuse to have a few more this weekend, wink. There are piccies of all of the current designs below, a couple of post down. Can't remember whether I've mentioned it or not (innocent angelic look) n you can buy them here.

Better sign off now. Just noticed it's gone 2am. I just can't sleep when my OH is away. I have been up since six too.

A few people have told me that they went onto the Spiral Whisper website to buy my stamps but there were only a couple on there under animals. They are there but most of them are just listed under my name.

Morning everyone :) Not feeling too good today, so just a quickie. Hopefully I'll be back on for another update later :)

Previews of three more stamps have just gone on the SW website for pre-sale release.

Firstly, there's 'Rock Star Chuckle Monkey'. Oh he does get silly when he's had a shandy or four LOL




Secondly, there's a new Chuckles and Giggles 'Coming Ready or Not' stamp. See if you can see where Chuckles is hiding. I think his huuuuuuuuuuge ears may give that one away (chuckle)


Last but not least there's a 'Tarquin the tree frog' stamp. Sorry for such a close up shot of him but he's a right poser and wouldn't pose any other way. Tree frogs, eh! You can't take them anywhere LOL



The other Chuckle and Giggle Monkey stamps are;

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh firstly where it all began. This first stamp is of Chuckle Monkey and Friends famous banana tree. It has been done as a stand alone stamp so that you can easily fit it into any other Chuckles and friends scene or just on it's own. Apologies for the missing bananas though (blush) Chhhuuuuuuuuucklessssssssssssssssss, ouch that hurt my throat. He's no where to be seen I think he must have slipped off for a sly smooch with Giggles (cheesy grin)




The stamp above below depicting a very typical lazy day for Chuckle Monkey. He is such a tinker. I am surprised that hammock hasn't collapsed with him in it. Look at all of those bananas he's filled his greedy face with LOL




Meet Giggle Monkey. Giggles is the ever doting girlfriend to Chuckles. You will be seeing lots more of her and them both together :) She can be adapted to cards, scrapbook layouts and other crafting projects. I’ll be making a card with her tonight and can't wait to get started.



Meet Boozy Chuckles. This Chuckle Monkey stamp would be great for a Birthday, Christmas or New Year celebration card/scrapbook layout and other projects. This pose was captured after a night out on the lash at his local watering hole. Oh the embarrassment (blush)



The new workshop has come to a stand still as my OH is back working away again. The frame and floor have been up since a week last Sunday so hopefully we can get to work on the roof when he's back. It's looking good though (wink) and measuring about four metres by three metres roughly, I think, scratches head. Oh I am so forgetful lately. Let’s just say it's big. Can't wait to get it finished and get all my power tools set up in there. I know I am very, very sad LOL and partition some of it off for a dark room and to put the kiln in. Toying with the fact of getting a potters wheel too. Going to take the kids to our local craft centre this week or next I think to throw a few pots. Will need to take my DD with me for directions though as I am hopeless without the sat nav and my OH has it. I need one, stamps feet.

Anyhoo, I have rambled on again when I said I wouldn’t so I'm off to wrestle with putting Pickles ball pit and tent up for him.

Yay, pre-release of some of my stamps available from today :)

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, been run off my feet as usual and yesterday was Pickles birthday. He is now the grand ole age of two LOL. Ahhhhh where does the time go. It only seems like yesterday that our midwife was telling me I couldn't have an epidural as my baby was not ready to come out even though I was insisting it was and she carried on reading her magazine. Until another midwife happened to come in looked at me and said get her on her back now the baby’s heads coming, stupid woman!!!

Good news (cheesy grin) Just checked and some of my Chuckle Monkey and his doting girlfriend Giggle Monkey stamps have been added to the Spiral Whisper website you can check them out here. You can pre-order them now (another cheesy grin) There are many more to go on I'll keep you updated as to when they go on :)At the moment there is Chuckles banana tree, Boozy Chuckles, Chuckles Lazy Day and Giggle Monkey to choose from. Giggles is also to be featured with other Chuckle Monkey stamps soon :)

I hate that dressing gown

Firstly, I'd like to thanks the lovely
Jennifer and Lauren for both sending me this lovely award.

I now have to nominate 7 people x 2 crikey. Well I do visit lots of fantastic blogs, just got to have a think. Will edit and add to this post later as I am in a bit of a tizz again today LOL.

I'm so, soooooooooooo tired with my OH away and Pickles not sleeping and Kevin the teenager’s twin sis to contend with. Pickles latest party trick is sneaking up behind me and biting my bum then smacking it whilst shouting "bum bum" at the top of his voice and running off in hysterics. Ouch, it really hurts you know, kids eh! It was very funny and cute the first few times. But not so funny and cute after about the 100th time in the middle of a crowded chemists!

Still drawing away here, more Chuckles, Tarquins and non animal. Was supposed to be starting on the samples tonight but my DD is singing in another show so it will depend on what time we make it back for. She has an eye infection and I had to beg the doc for an emergency appointment this morning for her. As when she woke up she looked all gozy eyed and they were all swollen and stuck together. I had to of course do my Mothers duty and tell her it looked fine. She didn't say a single word just paused and attempted to look at me through all of the weeping puss dripping from her eyes, then she spoke.” You really are ridiculous sometimes Mother (oh no she called me Mother, that means she's sussed me out, gulp) "how on earth is it supposed to be OK when I can't even open my eyes" and with that she turned on me giving me 'the look' narkily fastened her dressing gown, folded her arms and went of in a Kevin strop. Erm "ok, I'd better phone the doctors" was my reply as I made a hasty retreat LOL.

Talking of 'that' dressing down. I really, really am starting to despise it with a real passion. But it's only a dressing gown I hear you cry. Well let me just tell you about that blasted green monster of a dressing gown shall I. It haunts me, truly it does. Everywhere I go in the house it magically appears. Like it has sprung feet and follows me around sneaking up on me and taunting me. I just wish that it would walk into the utility room occasionally of its own accord and jump into the washing machine. As I become in mortal fear of my life daring to venture into my DD's bedroom. I keep thinking something is going to jump out and attack me. The clothes on the floor have grown clothes on top of clothes with the odd crisp bag and chocolate wrapper thrown on top. "Mum" I frequently hear being bellowed from the top of the landing, she sounds like she's swallowed a 100 watt amplifier at times "I've got nothing to wear, you need to buy me some new clothes"Arggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhh "Well try tidying that S hole" is my reply. Door slams and then the entire same saga is replayed almost word for word as if I had entered the Twilight Zone a few days later. Huh, kids eh!!!

Anyhoo, got to get on, rambled on for long enough. Got to get organised for tonight. Thanks as usual for visitng and please drop by again soon :)

Well just to catch up. It's been gorgeous and sunny and very hot here today, I almost fainted with surprise. Could this be summer finally putting in an appearance. Yesterday though was totally bizarre. We had torrential rain all morning here and we left to take my DD to a dance audition in Manchester around one. It was still bucketing it down when we got there. Yet when we came out three hours later, it was sweltering hot and sunny, mad, a bit like me LOL

Anyhoo usual off the subject ramble over. I've been mad busy designing. My daughters shows on Friday and Saturday, my DD's three hour dance audition, I kid you not!!! Running around after Pickles and other bits n bobs. As well as being my DD's taxi service. She was chosen to perform a drama piece at Manchester Uni and got back a little while ago. Phew I thought now I might actually get some rest. Until she informed me that her friend Harrison was coming down tomorrow for the day in hopes of persuading her to stay at her p/t performing arts school. Maybe I'll actually get a rest on Wednesday eh, what d'ya think? No you’re probably right, fat chance eh LOL

Fantastic news :) news. Two more never seen before Chuckle Monkeys have winged their way over to Spiral Whisper to be made into stamps. I've also been asked to do some more and some new Tarquin The Tree Frogs too stamps too, hurray

Well I couldn't post with out a ramble on could I now? Just got back from the dress shop in the village for my DD's prom dress. I am not even thinking about how much it cost (almost faints) but she does look absolutely gorgeous in it. All she needs now she has informed me is some diamante high heels, swarovski crystal earrings, necklace and bracelet, new make-up, a spray tan, a facial, false nails and a new hair do! Kids eh LOL

Sneeky peek samples

Just popped on to thank everyone who has been visiting my blog and big (hugs) to those who have left such lovely comments :)

Just on my way out now to go to the dress shop in the village for a prom dress for my DD's prom. When we get back hopefully Pickles can 4get about the curtain monster for long enough to nap today so I can get on with my drawing. Also hoping to actually get down to making some sample cards etc over the next few days or so of my stamp images. Hoping to pop some new free images on my blog again very soon too :)So please keep on checking back :)

Got behind with my digital art stamp site because I have been so busy so I need to get back into that too. So I can hopefully launch it in the next few weeks. My OH is working from home today, so Pickles will probably not take advantage as much and I can get on. Got tons of washing and housework to do too and gardening. Just off to bed now. Had a couple of glasses of red wine and a relax for a change. My OH is back now so if the curtain monster rears it's ugly mush again in the early hours he can blinkin do the honours LOL. I am so tired now so I am going to retire to the land of nod.

As I said I have had a glass or three of the old vino so you must excuse my poor grammar and spelling mistakes as I am sure I have made some. Oh know I am my own worse enemy I am rambling on again LOL

Back to the reason for this post. Ok just a quickie (ooo er) I am in the middle of watching Question Time. Yes as mad as it may seem to some I love the programme. I want to get back to it as Jerry Springer of all people is one of this weeks quests. Saying that he was a Governer in the US many moons ago if I remember rightly. For those from overseas QT is a UK political discussion/dedate show. I know, I now I am supposed to be in a hurry and I am rambling on aa=gain LOL, rant over :)


I have a folder full of art images to go through and sort out and scan in, I have been so lazy of late, sorry for taking so long to upload some more. I hate chicken pie !

Afternoon everyone :)

Just managed to sit down at last and have a catch up and a coffee. Not 4 long though Pickles due to wake up soon. Been doing washing, washing and more washing and tidying today. At least it's still warm and I've not had to use the drier. The first lot went on the line at 9 this morning and it dried in no time. I went out to take it off and pop another lot on. All very very organised for me for a change. I nipped back in with the clean washing and to pop another wash on. I was so proud of myself being so organised, I should have known it wouldn't last for long. The peg bowl was empty, I was confused I even went back into the house to check if they were there, but they weren’t. Then I heard a certain very cheeky monkey shouting "away, away" So I ran out of the house he was no where in sight so I went through the arch into the back part of the garden and there was a very cheeky toddler throwing the last of my pegs into the huge rhododendron bush. It's about 25' high and 15 or more feet wide and very dense to the ground. I then spent the next three quarters of an hour tying to locate the blinkin things Huhhhh. I managed to put the washing out b4 having to take my DD to school for her GCSE English exam. My OH is in Gloucester and I might just get half an hour b4 Pickles wakes up and I have to start all over again and go and pick my DD up from school. Roll on the weekend.



Yesterday was a disaster too. Run off my feet all day and then when I finally got Pickles down for a nap I spent the next hour and half instead of relaxing chasing chicken pie from next door around the garden. It even got into the house and myself and my DD couldn't get it out. It pecked the hell out of my French doors. When Dr Doolittle from next door finally decided to put an appearance in he came around for it. I told him I'd chased it for an hour and a half and it had been in house. I politely told him to find out where they were getting in as it is now a daily occurrence. Our back garden is split into two and I can't see the back half from the house so by the time the mealy eyed thing saunters through to the part I can see it's usually eaten through loads of veggies, the fat cretin. The guy from next door just kept hugging chicken pie and kissing, YES I said kissing it, he wouldn't give me eye contact, every question or comment I came out with he ignored and just jabbered away in a silly voice to the damn chicken. He just kept hugging, cooing and talking and kissing chicken pie. Hasn't he heard of E-Coli!I felt like I had entered the twilight zone there for a while.He didn't apologise, just turned around and walked away. His OH is a lovely woman but he is just weird. His OH says he likes chicken pie and his hoppos to run wild. Well that's all well and good if they are running wild in their own blinkin garden but they aren't they are in mine feasting like theres no tomorrow because they have eaten everything in sight in their garden. Wheres that bird of prey when you need him eh? I can't believe he didn't even apologise, how ignorant I was speechless for once, YES I for once the mother of rambling on couldn't think of a thing to say I just stood there open mouthed. I really have had enough, truly.



Going to try and use this half an hour making a blinkin peg bag, I'm not going through all of that again LOL. I hope everybody’s having a lovely day and (hugs) to those who can't :)

PS Hoping to pop some more free images on later if I can track the printer/scanner lead down. I have a file stuffed full with them just have to decide which ones to put on. So please check back later.

New blog header and revamp

Apologies if you keep on logging on to see the layout constantly changing. I am in the middle of revamping my entire blog over the coming week. As I have been that slapdash it is totally disorganised, like me (turns red with embarrassment) I want to try and make it more user friendly, so it will be changing a lot over the next week why I am trying things out.

I have just added a new header and I am messing about with colours etc. So please bare with me :) As you can see from it Chuckle Monkey has a new friend the ? tree frog (see poll on the right hand side or post your own suggestions) and he will be joined by many more friends over the coming weeks and months. So please bookmark me and check back often.

Off to grab a cup of coffee to keep myself awake. I wont be partaking in having a accompanying custard cream with it though as they are all gone (blush) We are all such sugar rush gluttons they literally vanished within minutes of them coming out of the oven LOL. Bang goes the slimmer of the week award (oh the shame, blush, scammers off to find something else to dunk instead, blushes even more)

Morning everyone :)

Morning everyone, still zonked but thought I'd pop on to say hi and thank Eve AKA Ultramum for my awards and for Chris AKA Cambiel thinking of me too :) You both really cheered me up :)








Pickles is getting some shut eye. Failed dismally at giving him his antibiotics this morning. I don't know what I am going to do any suggestions much appreciated. It's not yucky medicine in fact it smells and tastes of bananas but he's not having any of it LOL. Tried the meds spoon, refused to open his mouth and it went all over him. Then I tried a syringe, whey hey I am a pure genius I thought as it went straight in the mouth. Splat.... all over my face as he projectile spat it all back up again. How marvellous, not!

So then just b4 his nap I snook it into his bottle of milk. He took a couple of sucks pulled it out of his mouth and stared at his bottle for a few seconds and then had another couple of sucks then shouted "no no milk" and chucked his bottle across his bedroom floor eyes firmly fixed on me scowling all the way. Little monkey.

Going to try and make the most of him being asleep, although I am very tempted to join him LOL. Got lots of photos to download from the camcorder and sort my new images out and decide which ones to pop on my blog. I hope everybody has a lovely day. Sorry, I have been a bad, bad blogger (hangs head in shame)

I’ve been ill, my OH has been away again and now Pickles has been ill since Saturday and we can’t even get him into the docs all he’s had apart from his milk is a few spoonfulls of porridge since Saturday. He’s just gone down for a nap I am hoping it’s a long one so he can try and sleep his bug off and I am drained. He’s been like a little weepy clinging monkey and won’t let me put him down, the poor sausage.

My OH has been working away again and my DD started her GCSE’s last week so I am all in a mither over that and her revision. She had her maths higher this morning I hope it went ok. She ended up screaming at me this morning to stop mithering her to check she had enough pens and her math set, but she is so laid back I have to check these things I’m forever getting phone calls to take this that and the other to school as she’s forgotten it. I have so much I need to do too, typical that everything happens at once.

I can’t wait until my DD’s exams are over I am a nervous wreck, mithering her to revise all of the time. She’s so laid back all she could think about yesterday was trying to mither her Dad to buy her some StTropez fake tan and an expensive prom dress for her prom. Kids
